            Seattle - Fong

This tenant improvement was for an architect in Seattle. The existing space was decorated with white, yellow, blue and burgundy walls. A space was created to give the architect a functional area while creating an exciting atmosphere. Subtle natural colors and new track lighting were used for a light and warm look.

Custom made sawhorses were used along with birch door slabs to create inexpensive desks that were functional. A custom built door system on sliding tracks—using simple materials—created a conference room when in use, yet could be slid back to make the office seem larger. The old stained carpet was removed and the existing concrete floor was ground down and acid stain applied for a durable, beautiful floor.

            Queen Anne - Second Story

A second story was added to this 1920’s home to accommodate a growing family while at the same time returning some of its original charm that had been covered over by an earlier remodel. The added 900 square foot second story mirrored the first story and included two bedrooms, a master bedroom/bathroom and a bath. The trusses on the 2nd story were left exposed which added a unique drama and a feeling of openness to the upstairs. Some new trims were added and all the trim painted white to lighten the house up and add a craftsman charm. On the exterior, the old siding was removed or sided over to bring back the original look and let the house fit in better with the neighborhood.

West Seattle - Second Story Addition

This home had been added onto a few times over the years and the new owners wanted to update and add the second story to accommodate a larger family and to take advantage of the incredible view the home has. The design kept with the same style of the old house while adding a number of elements that add flair and excitement to the home. Behind the garage doors is an indoor swimming pool; the second story addition has a weatherproof deck for relaxing and lots of windows takes advantage of the view while keeping the home bright.
